*I will be taking my next (and potentially last) batch of orders on May 4th, at 4PM PST (DST). For more information and a reminder the day before, please sign up for the email Newsletter or visit the Darling Army Facebook page. If you need something right away, please order from the Ready to Ship section.
Please remember that printed items, skirts, capelets, and accessories can be ordered at any time, so you don't need to wait for an order acceptance date to add them to your cart. You can also design your own skirt or kimono dress in the Japan Shop at any time =) If it doesn't say coming soon, you can order it now.
ALL CONSTRUCTION TIMES ARE NOW 3-8 WEEKS. I'm currently pregnant and now have an unpredictable schedule due to morning sickness and fatigue.
Orders tend to fill up in 5-10 minutes (sometimes a little longer, sometimes a little shorter) once my store is open. This means the store is only opened for a couple minutes once every two weeks or so. You have to be quick to order, so make sure you're ready as soon as I open.
Some items like things in the Japan Shop, Printed, Capelets, Skirts, and Accessories sections of the store can be ordered at any time. If the item does not say Coming Soon, you can add it to your cart and checkout without having to wait for an acceptance date.
UPDATE 4/11: Orders have been filling up in just under two minutes recently. You have to be very quick to order. If you're not fast on a computer, consider practicing checking out with items that are already available. Also be aware that all construction times are currently 3-8 weeks since I am currently pregnant and can only work part-time now due to morning sickness, fatigue, and all the other fun stuff that comes with growing a tiny human. The baby is due approx in August, so I might not be taking orders in the month(s) directly before and after the pregnancy. Please plan accordingly.
Smaller items like skirts, capelets, and accessories don't take as much time to make and are usually available at any time. While I still need to wait on supplies for them, I can usually finish them in between larger kimono dress orders. They give me a good break in between large projects.
Items in the Printed section can be ordered at any time but typically take 2-4 weeks (sometimes up to six) before I can ship them out to you. If you need something shipped right away, take a look at the Ready to Ship section; many printed designs are in stock and waiting to be shipped out!
Larger items like kimono dresses, wrap dresses, and pinafores take quite a bit longer to construct, so they can only be purchased when I'm taking orders.
If you missed an order date and desperately need a kimono dress, the Japan Shop section of the store can be accessed at any time. This is the only place you can order a kimono dress at any time since it helps me keep track of my very limited stock of Japanese fabrics.
Just like a normal online store. When the listing you want is open, you simply add it to your cart and checkout; to combine multiple orders for shipping, add all items to your cart before checking out. You'll also be able to leave measurements in a text box before you confirm your purchase.
I accept all major credit cards and Paypal; you can pay with any currency and it will automatically be sent to me in USD.
Please note that all times are relative to my timezone. I live in California. If you need to find out the time difference, please use an online calculator for the exact date since my state does participate in Daylight Savings Time.
